Intelligent Energy Europe Info Day – 2012 funding opportunities

On 24 January 2012, the European Commission organised the Intelligent Energy Europe (IEE) Info Day 2012. EHI attended the event, together with more than 900 participants from across Europe.

This annual event is meant to give information and support on funding opportunities available under the IEE programme framework. In practice, the 2012 Info Day:

• offered an update on the European policy for renewable energies and energy efficiency
• contained presentations on the Intelligent Energy-Europe (IEE) programme and the priorities of its 2012 call for project proposals
• presented ongoing IEE projects and application guidelines for future IEE funding
• offered dedicated workshops for each funding area with the opportunity to meet the IEE team of the European Agency for Competitiveness and Innovation (EACI)
• was a useful networking opportunity.

For information, the 2012 IEE call for proposals was published on 20 December 2011 with the deadline for the submission of proposals on 8 May 2012. More information can be found on the IEE website.
