EHI appoints new Chairman, Vice-Chairman and Executive Council

Brussels – EHI, the Association of the European Heating Industry, announces the appointment of its new Executive Council, following the 10th meeting of the General Assembly, held on 9 June 2010 in Genval (Brussels), Belgium.
The new EHI Chairman is Klaus Huttelmaier, member of the managing board of Bosch Thermotechnik GmbH. Mr. Huttelmaier has served as EHI Executive Council member since the association’s formation in 2002, supporting its development into the united voice of the European heating industry. “Together with the Executive Council and the company representatives of the EHI members, our priority is to strengthen the EHI both internally and externally. In the current economic and political climate, it is of great importance that EHI should consolidate its presence through the right combination of European and national level initiatives. Moreover, it is our mission as EHI to contribute to shaping the business landscape in the best interest of our industry sector and to promote energy efficient and environmentally friendly heating solutions”, stated Mr. Huttelmaier.
Working closely in the leadership of the association will be Claudio Bianchini, EHI’s new Vice-Chairman, Executive Director of the Heating Products Division of Riello Group. Following his appointment, Mr. Bianchini noted: ”EHI has always advocated for a robust and workable legislative framework for the European heating industry. Continuously challenged by new regulations, EHI will continue to work together with the European institutions, national authorities, as well as industry and social partners, keeping energy efficiency improvement, greenhouse gas emissions and environmental impact reduction as main targets. We are all committed to improving the world we live in, not only for us but mainly for future generations ”.
