EHI Appoints Michael Bennett as New Secretary General

Brussels – EHI, the Association of the European Heating Industry, is very pleased to announce the appointment of Michael Bennett as its new Secretary General from 1st March 2011.
Mr. Bennett is a geologist by training, and worked during the 1980s and 1990s on many urban regeneration / contaminated land remediation projects in environmental and geotechnical consulting. He moved more towards policy-making in the 1990s, after obtaining an LLM in Environmental Law. He subsequently worked in corporate environmental management for the industrial gases giant, The BOC Group; his role comprised EU and UK policy analysis, legislation implementation and also projects on Life Cycle Assessment and industrial ecology. Previously, from 2006-11, Mr. Bennett was the Executive Director of Eurofuel, the European Heating Oil Association.
